BH-BL Reaches NYS Class 'A' Semi's

CLIFTON PARK - Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School jumped out to a 47-7 halftime lead over Franklin Academy, and cruised to a 54-13 rout in the New York State Class 'A' quarterfinals. Brandon Beatty was the offensive star for the Spartans with four touchdown runs -- all in the first half. They came on runs of 74, 14, 2, and 29 yards.
Also on Friday night, Schalmont won its Class 'B' quarterfinal 34-20 over Beekmantown. Vince Gallo rushed for three touchdowns as the Sabres rallied to victory.
And in Class 'D', Rensselaer had its season end with a 28-25 loss to Moriah.
