Bishop Maginn's Janae Lyde Picks Texas Southern

ALBANY - Upon her return from Houston Wednesday afternoon, Bishop Maginn senior Janae Lyde had an announcement to make. She has accepted a full athletic scholarship to play Division I basketball at Texas Southern University of the SWAC.
Lyde is equally adept at both putting up points and finding her teammates. This past season she led Maginn in both scoring (22.0 ppg) and assists (6.0 apg).
The 5'4" point guard picked Texas Southern over Rhode Island, St. Francis (PA), and North Carolina A&T.
Lyde intends to major in Business Management at TSU.
