Siena Saints Win!
Siena pulled a shocker in the Midwest Region. The 13th-seeded Saints upset fourth-seed Vanderbilt 83-62 to become the first Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference team to reach the second round since Manhattan in 2004. Kenny Hasbrouck scored 30 points. Tay Fisher added 19 on 6-for-6 shooting from three-point range.
Siena now plays Villanova. The 12th-seeded Wildcats recovered from an early 18-point deficit and eliminated fifth-seeded Clemson 75-69. The Tigers had an 18-point lead with five minutes left in the first half and a 39-27 halftime lead but melted in the second half. Scottie Reynolds scored 21 and Corey Fisher added 17 for Villanova.
