Troy, NY - Latham High School graduate Tommy Kahnle, a rookie righthanded relief pitcher for the Colorado Rockies, is back home during the MLB All Star break.
On Wednesday, CBS6 caught up with the 24-year-old at Geer Field where he used to play for the South Troy Dodgers.
Kahnle discussed his nerves during his MLB debut back in April, he named Miami's Giancarlo Stanton as his most imposing opponent, and said San Francisco's Pablo Sandoval has been his toughest opponent to date.
Overall, though, Kahnle's rookie season as been a smashing success, as his 2.68 ERA will attest. And it's especially good considering half his games are played at Coors Field in the mile high air of Denver.
