Battle & Ubiles on Naismith Award Watch List
Comments 0 | Recommend 0ALBANY - Penn State's Talor Battle (Bishop Maginn) and Siena's Edwin Ubiles are among the finalists on the Naismith Award Preseason Watch List. The 50 names were released this morning. Coaches, administrators, and journalists vote annually for the player of the year, which will be determined at the end of the season.
Battle averaged 16.7 ppg. last season as a sophomore for the Nittany Lions, while also setting the school's single season assist record. The 6'0" junior is 1st team All-Big 10 Conference.
Ubiles is a 6'6" senior from Poughkeepsie who is 1st team All-MAAC. He led the Saints last season with a 15.0 ppg average.
