Rashad Barksdale Back in Town

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

With his rookie season in the NFL behind him, Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Rashad Barksdale returned to one of his old school today.

Barksdale visited with about 100 students at Hudson Middle School's afterschool program, where Rashad's mother is a cooking instructor. Her son quickly went from being a baseball player at UAlbany to pro football -- and he used his very first NFL paycheck to pay off his student loans.

"I'm here to talk to whole bunch of seventh- and eighth-graders," declard Barksdale. "This is my old stompin' ground, Hudson Middle School, so it feels good to come back here and hopefully give these young kids a few words of wisdom."
