How to Help: Animal Rescue Flights

A volunteer group has rescued 26 dogs from an overcrowded South Carolina shelter that euthanizes up to 300 animals per week, the group's founder told CBS 6 News.

Cloud Nine Rescue Flights landed on Saturday at Albany International Airport, where founder/pilot Ted DuPuis released nine of the dogs to the Capital District Humane Association. The remaining 17 were bound for New Hampshire.

The dogs were expected to be put up for adoption sometime within the next month.

Cloud Nine, based in Montoursville, PA, is asking for donations to keep its rescue flights going. If you would like to help, please contact:

Siena's Ronald Moore is going national with an internet chat on ESPN.com at 3:30pm Friday.  To chat with Moore, click here.  It will take place while the Siena Saints tour ESPN Studios in Bristol, CT.

Moore leads the NCAA this season with an 8.7 assists per game average.  The 6'0" senior from Conshohocken, PA rose to national prominence during last year's NCAA Tournament upset of Ohio State with a tying 3-pointer at the end of overtime, and then the game-winning 3-pointer at the end of double overtime.

At his current pace, Moore will pass Marc Brown for the all-time assist record in Siena College history.

The Saints' next game is Saturday at 4:00pm in Bridgeport, CT against the Fairfield Stags for first place in the MAAC.
