Schuylerville man sentenced 20 years in sex abuse of 3 employees
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A 49-year-old Schuylerville man was sentenced to 20 years in state prison for sexually abusing three boys who worked for him at his horse farm on Haas Rd., the Saratoga County District Attorney announced Thursday.
Donald Nitchman previously pleaded guilty to five felony criminal sex acts.
The original indictment against Nitchman contained more than 450 counts representing 140 different sexual encounters, said DA James Murphy.
Murphy had previously stated the incidents occurred between the summer of 2004 and July 2007. All the victims were less than 15 years old at the time, said Murphy.
Murphy said Nitchman isolated the boys and used his position as their employer to keep them silent about the abuse.
