MONTGOMERY -- State police say skeletal remains found in a swampy area in the lower Hudson Valley are those of a 24-year-old man who went missing last year.
Capt. Joseph Tripodo says Friday that foul play isn't suspected in the death of 24-year-old Stephen Croushore. His remains were found Jan. 16 by a trapper in his hometown of Montgomery, 60 miles north of New York City in Orange County.
Tripodo says Croushore was identified through dental records. A cause of death won't be available until toxicology tests are complete.
Croushore was reported missing by his family in March.
