Waterford man arrested twice in 6 hours on child endangerment, rape charges
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A 30-year-old man from Waterford was arrested twice in one day over the weekend for two separate incidents, police announced today.
Zachary Jackson was arrested shortly after midnight Sunday on charges of child endangerment after he was found drunk at Lock #2 with his two young children -- ages 2 and 8 -- sitting on the wall of the locak alongside him.
Jackson was arrested and released on an appearance ticket to return to court May 28th.
Then about six hours later, at 6:14 a.m., Jackson, a registered level-three sex offender, was arrested on rape charges for an incident alleged to have occurred the evening before, when a 20-year-old filed a complaint while being treated at a local hospital.
Jackson was charged with first-degree rape, first-degree sexual absue, unlawful imprisonment and sexual misconduct, endangering the welfare of a child, forcible touching and third-degree assault.
Jackson was arraigned in Waterford Town Court and sent to the Saratoga County Jail.
