A 47-year-old Warren County man has been charged with criminal sexual act after police said he pressured a woman into performing sexual acts by threatening to harm the woman's baby if she did not comply.

According to the Warren County Sheriff's Office, Bruce Smith of Horicon "forcibly compelled" a 19-year-old acquaintance to perform the sex acts.

Smith reportedly held the female's infant and threatened bodily harm to it if she did not comply with his demands.

Police arrested Smith at his home during the early morning hours Monday. He was charged with felony first-degree criminal sexual act and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child.

Smith was arraigned in a local criminal court and remanded to the Warren County Correctional Facility on $10,000 cash bail.
