Man wanted for assaulting Ohio cop caught in upstate NY
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A 20-year-old man wanted for assaulting a police officer in Ohio is in custody after he was captured during a traffic stop on the New York State Thruway.
State troopers caught Christopher Alexander of Johnstown, Ohio, Monday morning while he was passing through Utica. A routine check revealed that Alexander was wanted in Licking County, Ohio, for felony assault.
After Alexander was arrested, troopers found he had brass knuckles, a small amount of marijuana and a bottle of methadone in his possession.
Troopers are charging him with being a fugitive from justice, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.
