What: The USS Slater will be open to the public for guided tours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is charged. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for children. It will remain open until November 29th. Call 431-1943 for more information.

What: Rumor Salon and Day Spa and Rumors IV Men is offering free haircuts to all local veterans in an effort to honor local veterans. Appointments are recommended and can be made by contacting rumors IV Men at 782-4636 or Rumors Salon and Day Spa at 786-1777.

What: Pitney Bowes volunteers will gather to make hundreds of cards for the “Holiday Mail for Heroes” campaign to help send a “touch of home” to U.S. military and veterans this holiday season. The “Holiday Mail for Heroes” campaign helps screen holidays cards for hazardous materials and sorts, packages and delivers cards to service members, families and veterans, many of whom will be far from home this holiday season.
