Vehicle flips in river; one rescued

At approximately 11:14 p.m. Saturday, the Washington County Sheriff's Office issued a new release saying five people were in a vehicle (the sheriff's office did not say what type of vehicle) that left route 22 in Granville aruond 8 p.m. that night and was submerged on its roof in the Mettawee River. The release said four people got out on their own and one 19-year-old man whose legs were trapped under the vehicle was rescued by members of the Granville Fire Department. The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
