Moving truck leads police on wild chase
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A man driving a moving truck lead police on a chase through three different jurisdictions and crashed into a cop car before he was arrested.
Troy police attempted to stop the Ryder Rental truck because it was dragging its lift gate creating sparks.
The truck did not pull over and led police on an 11 minute chase and crashed into a Troy police car before he was tased and arrested in Menands.
Police arrested 23-year-old Kenneth Tyree of Menands who was wanted on a New York State Parole warrant and two other warrants with Troy and Watervleit police, for failure to appear on charges.
Troy police took Tyree in on a slew of charges including an outstanding bench warrant, violation of Parole warrant, unlawfully fleeing the police, reckless driving, fail to yield ROW to the police, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, DWI and Driving the wrong way on a one way street.
Tyree was arraigned in Troy Police Court and remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail. He also faces charges in Watervleit.
No one was injured in the incident.
