Dump Truck Driver Escapes Fire

A Columbia County drump truck driver is recovering from injuries after escaping a fire in his truck early Monday morning.
The Columbia County Sheriff's Deparment says the man was driving a town of Hillsdale truck down Route 23 when he lost control, crashed into a power pole and flipped the truck. The truck burst into flames after settling, the sheriff's department says the man did escape the fire.
He was taken to Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington, VT. No word on the extent of the injuries.
