Equinox seeks donations for Thanksgiving dinner

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

The Equinox Community Services Agency, the biggest supplier of Thanksgiving dinners in the Capital Region, is asking for the public's help as it prepares its 39th annual Thanksgiving Day Community Dinner.

Citing an "urgent need" for donations, Equinox is citing frozen turkeys, frozen boneless hams and store-purchased pies among its most needed food.

The donations will help feed more than 8,000 people in the Capital Region.

All donated food items should be confirmed through the Equinox Acquisitions Department by calling 434-6137 ext. 320.

Equinox is also looking for drivers to help deliver meals on Thanksgiving morning.

To volunteer, donate food or money, or to request a meal delivery on Thanksgiving Day, call the Equinox Thanksgiving Dinner Hotline at 434-0131.
