The Warren County Sheriff's Office has arrested two men in connection with a stabbing in the town of Stony Creek Tuesday night.
Police were called to 232 Warrensburg Road at 8:13 p.m. for a stabbing incident stemming from a fight that broke out between two men at the home.
According to investigators, 35-year-old J. Guadalupe Bernal Sanchez of Hudson pulled a knife and stabbed a 25-year-old man in the abdomen and wounded a 22-year-old man in the shoulder. Both victims were taken to Glens Falls Hospital for treatment.
Sanchez fled from the scene, but State Police caught up with him in Albany County an hour later and arrested him. He was charged with felony first-degree assault, felony second-degree assault.
Another man who had fled with Sanchez, identified as Israel Garcia Arcos, was later found in Lake Luzerne and arrested on a misdemeanor charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Both men were arraigned in Queensbury Town Court and sent to the Warren County Correctional Facility without bail. Immigration officials are also investigating the men for possibly entering the U.S. from Mexico illegally, said the Sheriff's Office.
