SCOTIA -- High school students and staff in the Scotia-Glenville school district are bringing in coats by the hundreds Tuesday morning.
They’ll be trying to top last year’s total of more than 800 coats donated to the Schenectady City Mission, the agency’s director, Mike Saccocio, said. This year’s goal is more than 1,000.
The coats started coming in on Friday -- divided up by grade level as part of a competition in the school’s Spirit Week activities.
The City Mission will be loading the coats into a truck with some help from school sports teams Tuesday afternoon.
