CONFIRMED: Seafood Bandits Strike Again
Ladies who stole shrimp and razors expand horizons
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that the same women responsible for a now infamous seafood heist at the Price Chopper store in Palatine Bridge in February, and an attempted larceny at the same store earlier this week, are also the women who stole a pair of air conditioners from the Price Chopper in Richfield Springs Sunday evening.
Investigator Barry Serpa tells CBS 6 News anchor Jerry Gretzinger the duo failed in their larceny attempt in Palatine Bridge Sunday evening and drove to the store in Richfield Springs where they successfully stole two air conditioner units. Serpa says the women may hail from Herkimer County.

Two unidentified female suspects were witnessed both shoplifting and attempting to shoplift at two different Price Chopper locations on May 3rd during the late evening.
Their MO is to load large quantities of high ticket merchandise either directly into their shopping cart or into large Rubber Maid totes and then leave -- usually up the produce aisle and directly out the doors.
There are current active police investigations regarding these occurrences at the following locations:
- Price Chopper, 6025 NYS Rt. 5, Palatine Bridge (Montgomery County)
- Price Chopper, 1 Main Street, Richfield Springs (Herkimer County)
