Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Arrest

Albany State Police have arrested a 32 year old male for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance as a result of a traffic stop for speeding on the NYS Thruway early Saturday morning.
Richard Attenbourough, of Moosic, Pennsylvania, was found to be in possession of one gram of cocaine. The subject was also wanted on bench warrants in the Town of Kingston and Columbia County. Attenbourough was arraigned in the Town of Saugerties and committed to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5000 bail.
A second subject in the vehicle, a 16-year-old female, was also arrested as a runaway from Windham, New Hampshire and turned over to the Ulster County DSS.
