Three more NY Lawyers Lose State Rretirement Status
Comments 0 | Recommend 0State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli has removed three more lawyers from the state and local retirement system and rescinded service credit for a fourth.
DiNapoli says the four are members of a Johnson City law firm and were incorrectly reported as employees of various school districts and BOCES in the Southern Tier. System memberships were revoked for Edward Sarzynski, Michael Surwoka and Wendy DeWind, with service credit revoked for John Lynch.
A call to the firm was not immediately returned.
The comptroller's office previously suspended the pensions of two Long Island lawyers and revoked membership or retirement credit for several other attorneys.
