State of Vermont computer network off-line
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The state of Vermont's computer network is working again, but officials say it's not their usual system.
Stephen Wark of the Department of Public Service says there have been similar problems in other states.
Patrick Muldoon of the Independent Network Operations Consortium in Albany, N.Y., says they've been having problems since Sunday with their connection to Level 3 Communications' network.
The Consortium manages data networks for 10 small phone companies in upstate New York, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. It has been operating at about half the capacity it normally does.
Muldoon says they've been frustrated by a lack of information from the company about what caused the problem or when it will be fixed.
