A 26-year-old Nassau man has been arrested after he reportedly fired shots inside his trailer home, several of which penetrated a neighboring home occupied by a couple and their two-year-old son.

State Police in Schodack responded to a report of shots fired at 62 Alice Drive Cedar Acres Trailer Park at around 10:20 p.m. yesterday, and discovered Joseph Hallenbeck had fired a stolen .22 caliber handgun in his home several times.

Five rounds went through the wall of his trailer, entering his neighbor's at 56 Alice Drive, according to police. Two rounds struck the couch where the neighbors were watching television with their toddler son.

Hallenbeck was charged with felony second-degree reckless endangerment, felony criminal mischief, and misdemeanor fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

He was arraigned and remanded to Rensselaer County Jail without bail.
