Questions remain over Albany High computer glitch
Parents of Albany High School students gathered at a special Board of Education meeting Wednesday night to ask questions about a computer glitch that forced the district to start school late.
More than a week after school has started parents stood up and said some of their students still have holes in their schedules.
Superintendent Eva Joseph says there is no excuse for not having a schedule at the school, and that they are working to figure out where it went wrong and what went wrong.
Some parents at the meeting said that no answer yet is not good enough.
"When we have software failures where I work the last thing I do before I leave is write a report about what happened," parent Daniel Egan said. "That should be done by now."
In response, Joseph said, "We recognized the magnitude of the problem very late in August and since then our focus has been on working to correct it for our students."
She could not give an exact date, but says they are working around the clock.
Because of the computer glitch students will have to make up the two days that were canceled. They will have to report on election day on November 4th and on March 27th.
