Averill Park School District Confirms Case of MRSA

The Averill Park School district said Monday they have confirmed a case of MRSA at the Algonquin Middle School and is investigating another.
The school was notified of the student's diagnosis at 2:45 p.m. Monday, and will send a letter to parents Tuesday.
That student is being treated and has returned to school, officials said.
The custodial crew at the school will clean extensively Monday night.
