Gun Buy-Back program to extend to Schenectady

Pastor Charlie Muller announced that he will be expanding his gun buy-back program to the city of Schenectady on Thursday.  Working with Pastor Ted Ward of the Koinoia Christian Ministries, Pastor Charlie will announce the program at the Charlie Mills building at 920 Albany Street at 6:00 p.m.

In light of the recent shooting in the city, Pastor Charlie says he will put up $1,000 of the churches money to get the program started.

At the kickoff, Pastor Charlie will turn in a 9mm hand gun that was turned in by two children who heard about the program and wanted a gift card.  That gun was found in a vacant lot in Schenectady.

Schenectady County District Attorney Bob Carney and other city officials are expected to be there on Thursday.

There are plans to expand the program to the city of Troy with the help of Reverand Willie Bacote as soon as funding is released to him.
