UPDATE: Children rescued from fire in Schenectady

SCHENECTADY -- firefighters rescued two young children from a burning home Sunday.

Flames broke out at the house on Grove Place around 4:45 p.m., with reports of people trapped inside.

Deputy Chief Ray Senecal told CBS 6 his crew could see nothing because of the smoke.

But, they could hear the kids screaming and then found them under a bed. The three year old and a five year old were at Albany Medical Center Sunday night.

A four year-old also survived.

In all, 12 people were displaced by the fire, the cause remains under investigation.
