This is a desperate plea from a concerned New York mother. A great injustice and fraud will be carried out in Hunter Court this Wednesday December 2nd as Eric Powell gets away with yet another murder.

As you know, On October 26th , 41 year old Eric Powell, while driving drunk in Greene County lost control of his grandmothers car, seriously injuring himself, the front seat passenger and unfortunately killing my neighbor and friend Josh Menzie, a loving father of two. Unfortunately what Josh’s family and most probably don’t know is that Eric Powell has been the number one heroin dealer on Hunter Mountain for the last 20 years. Eric’s latest horrific crime got little mention on the news and nothing was ever said about Josh’s family’s home being robbed as they were out identifying his body. Not many people know that Eric was released from the hospital, with no charges for Josh’s murder in order to spend the holidays in the loving arms of his family; Could Josh be with his family on thanksgiving or any other day for that matter?

Upon his release, Eric’s ex-girlfriend “Heroin Linda”, his drug and real estate partner for years, rushed back to comfort Eric and “take care of financial matters”, while she was here all of their real estate was signed over to “Heroin Linda’s” mom. That’s right, screw Josh’s kids, and let the drug dealers win again. This will not be the first time Eric will be released as innocent while blatantly guilty; not long ago Eric was busted with heroin that was awaiting distribution, however Eric did no jail time for his crime, yet somehow his passenger did. I don’t know if Eric was off of probation for that crime when he got his other DUI or even if he had a legal license when he drove drunk again leading to the murder of Josh Menzie.

I am disgusted and in fear that Eric will be given yet another chance to ruin more lives; in this small town it has been rumored that Eric will only be charged for driving under the influence on Wednesday December 2nd and that a deal has already been made; even though Eric is going before a very honest judge in Hunter, the DA makes the deals.

Please do anything you can to help make Eric Powell finally be held responsible for his years of reckless behavior and Josh’s death.
