Ravena Man Arrested for Alleged Sex Abuse of 14-Year-Old Girl

A 25-year-old Ravena man is under arrest for having sexual encounters with a teenage girl over a period of three months in the town of Coeymans.

Sean Miniter was arrested and charged with second-degree rape (D-felony), third-degree rape (E-felony) and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child (A-misdemeanor).

Albany County Sheriff's Department say Miniter had sexual encounters with a 14-year-old girl on two separate occasions in the past three months.

The first contact with Miniter occurred in late October, while the most recent encounter happened on Christmas.

The girl had turned 15 by the second encounter, police say.

Miniter was living at the Budget Motel on Route 9W in Ravena, police say.

He was arraigned in Coeymans Town Court and is currently at the Albany County Correctional Facility without bail.

Police say they are continuing to investigate and looking into whether there are additional victims.
