Saratoga County residents to get a free day at the races

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- The New York Racing Association will treat all Saratoga County residents to a free day at the races this Monday, August 31st.

With proof of residency (license or passport) one free grandstand admission will be given out to all Saratoga County neighbors.  The list includes Saratoga Springs, Day, Clifton Park, Ballston, Moreau, Mechanicville, Galway, Charlton, Saratoga and Waterford. 

Saratoga County cities and towns will be represented in the backyard with interactive exhibits highlighting the rich history of Saratoga County.  

Exhibits will include old-fashioned board games from the town of Day, 18th century period costume wear from the Town of Saratoga, and samples of the city of Saratoga Springs’ famous natural spring water. 

The day will also include a named race in honor of Saratoga County.
