Two teens die in one-car crash in Saranac
Comments 0 | Recommend 0State police say two high school seniors have been killed in a one-car crash on a northern New York road.
Troopers say the crash happened just before 8 p.m. Tuesday on a rural road in the Clinton County town of Saranac, in the northeast corner of the Adirondacks 140 miles north of Albany.
They say 17-year-old Stephanie Heath of Saranac lost control of her car and it left the road, hitting several trees. Heath and a passenger, 18-year-old Courtney Alexander of Redford, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Senior Investigator Patrick Mitchell says the teens were seniors at Saranac Senior High School.
Mitchell says the cause of the accident is being investigated.
