Film production shuts down part of route in Rensselaer County
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A part of State Route 43 in Rensselaer County will be shut down for two days next week while the movie "Taking Woodstock" films there.
State Route 43 will be closed between Tinley Road and Gunnar Hill Road in the town of Stephentown on Sunday, Sept. 14th and Monday, Sept. 15th, said the state Department of Transportation.
Drivers should follow the signed detour using County Route 23 to County Route 26 to Country Route 27, said DOT spokesperson Peter Van Keuren.
The detour will be in effect between 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. both days.
Movie production is also planning to close down one lane with intermittent one-way alternating traffic control overnight Sunday into Monday morning.
After filming wraps on Monday, traffic control will remain in place as crews clear the film company's vehicles and equipment.
Cleanup and restoration will continue on Tuesday, Sept. 16th.
