Rotterdam man sentenced 87 months in '05 child porn investigation
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A Rotterdam man has been sentenced in federal court to over 7 years in prison and a 15 years of supervised release after being convicted of distributing child pornography.
David Dimeo, 35, pleaded guilty to the charge on Dec. 27, 2007, after federal investigators executed a search warrant at Dimeo's Hudson Falls home on Feb. 2, 2006.
Forensic investigators found video and photos of child pornography on Dimeo's computer. During an interview with investigators, Dimeo admitted to trading child pornography with other users on America Online.
The investigation began after an undercover agent signed on to an AOL chat room in December 2005 to investigate child pornography users.
