Woman gets ring back after almost 20 years

MASSENA, N.Y. -- A woman who lost her high school ring two decades ago now has it back, thanks to an improbable find by a man diving in a New York river. Professional diver Greg Millar took a plunge in the Raquette River near Raymondville while visiting relatives in the area two years ago.

He came up with a ring Terri Burnett lost in 1988 when a friend accidentally let it slip into the waterway.

Millar had attended the same high school as the woman. He and classmates spent two years trying to find out who owned the ring, which only bore the first name "Terri."

They finally tracked down Burnett through the Internet.

One of Millar's classmates delivered the ring on Friday.
