Man robbed of laptop on street

ALBANY -- Police are investigating a reported robbery in the area of 447 Morris St. early Friday morning. 

According to police, a 22-year-old man was walking westbound on Morris St. just after midnight when five men who were walking on the opposite side of the street crossed over and came up behind him.

When the victim started to run, the men chased him down, tripped him to the ground and threatened to stab him if he did not hand over his carry bag, police said. 

The victim relinquished the bag, which contained a laptop computer. The suspects then ran off.

The victim was not injured in the incident.
