Queensbury Teen Arrested for Counterfeit Check

The Warren County Sheriff's Office tell us they arrested 18 year old Kyle D. Stewart of Queensbury for the felony of grand larceny in the third degree.  Stewart was arrested after the Warren County Sheriffs Office was notified of a counterfeit check that had been deposited at the Glens Falls National Bank on Glen Street in the Town of Queensbury.

The Sheriff's Office tell us an investigation into the matter revealed that a $4,500.00 counterfeit check had been deposited into a savings account at the bank.  Before the check was found be counterfeit, Stewart had withdrawn $4,500.00 of the money and used it.  Stewart was arrested and arraigned before Judge Muller of the Queensbury Town Court, where Stewart was released on his own recognizance pending a future appearance in the Queensbury Town Court.
