FDA announces Plainview Milk Products recall
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The Federal Food and Drug Administration has announced that Plainview Milk Products Cooperative is recalling several of its products.
Plainview is recalling instant nonfat dried milk, whey protein, fruit stabilizers, and all food thickening agents.
The FDA says these products could be linked to a possible salmonella contamination at the Minnesota processing plant. All the suspected products were made over the past two years.
None of the Plainview's products were sold directly to the public -- only to other distributors.
NOTE: During our noon newscast today, we aired this announcement and showed a picture of a carton of milk from Mohawk Dairy. We want to stress this recall does NOT involve the Mohawk Dairy in any way.
