State Computer Programmer Sentenced for Child Pornography
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A New York State Department of Health worker was sentenced to 58 months in prison Wednesday, after admitting to possessing child pornography.
Andrew Swartz, 38, of Clifton Park admitted to viewing sexually explicit photos of underage children back into the 1990s, and said he used a state issued computer to search the Internet for child pornography.
Two of the computers that were seized from Swartz's home contained more than1,000 images of child pornography. The U.S. District Attorney's office says one of those computers belonged to the state that he used for his job as a computer programmer.
In addition to prison time, Swartz was ordered to have no supervised contact with minors, participate in a sex offender program and register with the New York State Sex Offender Registry Program.
