Chris Porco Murder Trial Enters Its Third Week
The Christopher Porco murder trial resumed Monday morning in Goshen, but not without some brief chaos.
Defense attorney Terry Kindlon requested a motion to shut down the trial because he's worried that the prosecution will use elements of Christopher Porco's statement during a seven hour interrogation by Bethlehem Police from the day Peter Porco's body was found.
The interrogation had already been blocked from the trial by Judge Jeffrey Berry because he said it violated Porco's constitutional rights.
Also today, Judge Berry moved the trial to the third floor of the Goshen Courthouse. He was concerned the jury would not be able to hear the court proceedings because of bad acoustics. Earlier in the trial headsets had been distributed in the courtroom to try to deal with the problem.
Still photos showing the movements or Porco's yellow Jeep wrangler from the University of Rochester the night of the attack are expected to be shown in court later today.
Chris Porco is accused of killing his father Peter and severly injuring his mother Joan in their Delmar home back in November of 2004.
