Business owner accused of scamming customers; police search for other victims
Comments 0 | Recommend 0State Police have arrested a Queensbury business owner in connection with a home-purchasing scam and say they're looking for other possible victims.
Thirty-year-old Anthony Warner, who owns North Country Custom Homes, is accused of using money he received for the purchase of a modular home to pay for his own debts.
Police say Warner received a check of $88,200 to buy a modular home on Hollow Road in the town of Hague but he instead used the money to pay for other projects and for debts he owed in another criminal case pending in Saratoga County.
Warner was charged with second-degree grand larceny and remanded to the Warren County Jail.
State Police are asking anyone who believes they may be a victim of Warner to contact them at 518-745-1035 or at 518-583-7000.
