Watervliet man, 19, arrested in series of car break-ins, burglaries
WATERVLIET -- Police say they have arrested the man behind several car break-ins and thefts in the city over the past several months.
Joshua M. Bavosa, 19, of Watervliet, was arrested and charged with petit larceny and felony criminal possession of stolen property, police announced Friday.
Bavosa admitted to breaking into vehicles and stealing items like personal papers, checkbooks, cell phones, GPS units, laptops and portable DVD players, according to police. Some of the stolen items were reported to police as far back as March.
Police say many of the items have been recovered and they are now in the process of coordinating the items with the stolen property reports.
