Four arrested in Gloversville drug bust
GLOVERSVILLE -- Four people were arrested in an undercover drug sting last week, the Gloversville Police Department announced Friday.
The drug bust, conducted with State Police on March 4, followed a month-long investigation into heroin sales in the city.
Luis Espada was arrested for selling heroin to an undercover police officer on East Fulton St., said police. He was charged with third-degree criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance.
Later the same night, police executed a search warrant at 83 Second Ave., where residents Shawn Henry and Megan Arnold were arrested and charged with first-degree criminal nuisance for allegedly allowing their premises to be used for the use and sale of controlled substances.
Also arrested at the home was Darby Ostrander, who pulled into the driveway in a vehicle while police were conducting the search. Ostrander had an outstanding arrest warrant for criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance, police said.
Police additionally found on him four half-gram packages of crack cocaine he had intended to sell. Ostrander was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
