UPDATED: Escapee caught after police search

A jail escapee was caught in the Watervliet area shortly after he escaped while being transported to his arraignment.
Eighteen-year-old Jason Gibson was to be charged with felony criminal mischief for vandalism. He escaped in blue boxers and a white t-shirt, according to police.
Gibson was found just before 1 p.m. inside a culvert near the Hudson River.
