Woman accused of hammering man's head
Police say victim's hand was sliced

The weapon, according to Amsterdam police, was a hammer.
The woman who wielded it, police say, is 22-year-old Traci Tylutki of 43 Reid Street in Amsterdam.
According to a prepared news release, police arrested Tylutki shortly after midnight Sunday morning after officers went to her address to check out what was reported as a disturbance.
They found a man with injuries to his head and hand sitting on steps in a hallway. Police say the man and Tylutki told them she had hit the man with a hamme rseveral times and sliced his hand with a kitchen knife.
No word on the man's condition, nor any motive.
Tylutki is charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
