Colonie police say a man is in custody in connection with a hit and run Friday - a case that sent one of the department's invetsigators to the hospital. A police car was hit by a car-carrier in the parking lot of a motel on Central Avenue around 7:20 Friday night. Investigator Jeffrey Lockart said the driver of the rig kept driving. Police later found the rig on Railroad Avenue. Lockart was treated and released.

A woman who answered the phone at the Bethlehem Police Department says the CSX railyard in Selkirk is "up and running" again after it had been closed while police looked for someone. No other details were given except the call originated with the Albany County Sheriff's Department.
A photographer who is in the area says police may have taken into custody a truck driver who hit a Colonie police cruiser Friday night then left the scene.
