Update: Missing paroled murderer found in Rensselaer

Rensselaer Police located Edward Wade Stevens at his home in the city of Rensselaer.
Police took Stevens into custody with full cooperation and he was taken to the Rensselaer County Jail.

Rensselaer Police are looking for a paroled murderer who has gone missing.
Police say that Edward Wade Stevens went missing this afternoon after he failed to report to his parole officer. Police say he could be mentally unstable if he is off of his medications.
Stevens was convicted of second degree murder and manslaughter in a 1986 robbery and stabbing death in Albany.
He was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison and was freed on parole last year.
Stevens is described as a 6'4" black male and is 280-300 pounds.
Police do not believe that Stevens was armed.
Rensselaer Police request that anyone with information regarding Stevens whereabouts call them at 462-7451. If you see Stevens police ask that you do not approach him but call them instead.
