Police arrest four after drug deal in Argyle ends in stabbing

State Police say they've made four arrests in a drug deal that ended in a stabbing.

According to police, 23-year-old Michael Deblois of Queensbury, and his girlfriend, 21-year-old Casandra Pocock, also of Queensbury, arranged to meet 18-year-old Joseph Jay Jordan of Argyle at the Argyle Central School for a purported drug sale last Wednesday.

At the site, Jordan directed Deblois to his car so the two could supposedly retrieve the heroin. Instead, police say, Jordan had made previous arrangements with 18-year-old Norman Charles Jeckel for the two of them to confront Deblois over a $1,000 debt he owed Jeckel for marijuana.

Jordan led Deblois to a location on Coach Road where Jeckel was hiding in the woods, police say. There, Jordan and Jeckel assaulted and robbed Deblois of $90 and a gold chain.

Deblois, who himself was armed with a sheetrock knife, cut and stabbed Jeckel.

Jeckel sustained a minor cut to his arm and a stab wound to his back, and was treated at Glens Falls Hospital.

Jordan has been arrested for second-degree robbery; Debklois for second-degree assault; and PoCock for fourth-degree criminal facilitation.

Jeckel was arrested after his release from the hospital on a charge of second-degree robbery.

Jordan, Jeckel and Deblois were arraigned and remanded to Washington County Jail on $100,000 bail. PoCock was issued an appearance ticket.
