A Gloversville teenager has been arrested after police said he stole a handgun from a car.
Joshua Clinard was charged with felony fourth-degree larceny, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Gloversville Police say they received a call from a resident in the area of West Twelfth Ave. late Monday night reporting a group of adolescents going through cars in the neighborhood. Patrol officers responded and released the suspects at the scene.
The next day, however, a resident reported their handgun stolen from a car. Police decided to re-interview the individuals located by the patrol officers the night before, which generated leads pointing to Clinard.
Police found the stolen handgun at Clinard's home and took it as evidence, along with several other stolen items.
Clinard was processed and held for arraignment.
