UPDATED June 15th, 11:41 a.m.
Authorities have recovered the small plane that crashed into the Mohawk River, killing a man and a boy and leaving a second man missing.
There was no immediate word from officials if the missing man had been found after the plane had been lifted from the river bottom and loaded on a barge Monday morning.
Authorities say the bodies of a 52-year-old man and an 11-year-old boy were recovered from the Piper Cherokee after it crashed following departure from a Schenectady County airport around 2:20 p.m. Sunday.
The plane sank in 30 feet of water and was found by people fishing from a boat nearby.
State police haven't released the names of the two men and the boy.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
